Over the last few years we have found the Baker tent to be extremely popular and not only with the period re-enactors, so we have modernised the tent slightly to make it easier to use and more portable. Keeping the same dimensions, we have added vinyl sodcloth and french laced doors, that can be laced closed or along the awning edge. The poles are classic sectioned softwood, and the ridge pole fits inside the tent, instead of hanging the tent from the ridge pole. All pegs are as usual hand cleft British Ash, and guy ropes in hemp lookalike polyester with wood tensioning toggles. The tent is pretty easy to put up and can be used for a wide variety of uses. It makes a great stall, or field workers tea room/shelter, as well as a great gathering space at camp.
